Hotel Vittoria is a building dating in part from 1790 that was used as a spinning mill throughout the 18th century then converted
into an inn during the time of the Austro-Hungarian empire in the early 1900s.

The founder of the actual hotel business was Antonio Carnessalini (born in 1868) who in 1922 acquired the whole building
and with his wife Ida Mochen (who had already been a housekeeper in a noble house in Dimaro at the end of the 1800s) began
a new tradition of innkeeping.
» 1928 - 1939open
In 1928 and 1939 the first improvements took place but the work was interrupted during the 1939-45 war when the building
was requisitioned by the German military authorities.
» 1951 - 1970open
In June 1951 there was a triumphant reopening of the hotel which saw the return of loyal titled guests.
At this time Antonio handed over to his youngest son Ugo with his wife Alice. After Antonio passed away in 1952 the property
was divided between the 4 male heirs, each being given, by the luck of the draw, a portion of the building.
Ugo received the front part with 8 bedrooms, the dining room, the kitchen, cellar and bar. The management of this portion of the
hotel continued with the help of his children Giorgio and Ivana until the early 1970s. After doing a variety of work abroad
and managing the Hotel Folgarida and Hotel Madonna delle Nevi with his wife Berta, their son Giorgio came on the scene.
» 1974 - 1992open
Beginning in 1974 then continuing in '85, '87 and '92, he proceeded with the laborious and costly reacquisition piece by piece
of the various parts inherited by relatives and their renovation and enlargement with the aim of making the management of the
hotel easier and more efficient. In 1975 after the complete demolition of the internal walls, the first important reconstruction
of the hotel was achieved with the building of new rooms with modern facilities.

Meanwhile their children Oscar and Martina, who helped their parents after leaving school, were growing up.
In 1990 it became necessary to offer more services and facilities for tourists. Therefore from May to December 1998
the most important enlargement of the hotel took place, doubling the available accommodation and providing new facilities for guests:
fitness centre, games room, disco, covered garage, wider rooms and capacious restaurant which could accommodate wedding banquets.
Since then Oscar has dealt with the kitchen with his mother Berta and Martina the management alongside her father Giorgio.
The work continues with the new generation!
